Boykin Spaniel Registries
Boykin Spaniels have existed since the early 1900's but did
not have an organized effort to record pedigrees and track
bloodlines until much later in the century. Today the
registries offer much more than just a recording service. The
place you choose to register your dogs can be a very important
decision if you are an owner looking for choices to exhibit and
compete as a team with your dog. Registries can also be a very
controversial subject with Boykin Spaniel aficionados.
Unfortunately, there has been a substantial amount of propaganda
that has been distributed by rival organizations who have a
vested interest in keeping Boykin litters and dogs only
registered with their own database. Be an educated consumer and
verify information with the root source before accepting
circulating rumors as fact. Also included in our sub-pages is
the IABCA. Although not a "registry" their show titles may
appear in pedigrees and we felt that it was important to note
their role.
